Role Overview
Design, program, install, integrate, and commission automated building management systems with strong emphasis on the Niagara N4 framework.
Integrate HVAC, lighting, fire alarms, access control, and other low-current and IoT subsystems.
Optimize building energy efficiency, system performance, and operational reliability.
Manage field hardware deployment, cybersecurity compliance, and coordination with MEP teams and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop BMS architecture based on project requirements.
- Install and configure BMS controllers, sensors, actuators, hardware, and software.
- Program control logic and automation sequences for HVAC, lighting, and other subsystems.
- Test and commission BMS systems to ensure functionality and performance.
- Monitor and optimize energy consumption using BMS analytics.
- Integrate third-party systems such as fire alarms, access control, and elevators using Modbus, BACnet, or SNMP.
- Troubleshoot BMS systems and connected field devices.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections for retrofit or upgrade projects.
- Maintain BMS graphics interfaces for real-time monitoring.
- Collaborate with MEP, HVAC, and electrical teams during project execution.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on BMS hardware and software.
- Support remote monitoring, diagnostics, reporting, and technical training for operators and end users.
Technical Skills
- Niagara N4, BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, BMS analytics, IoT platforms, control logic, automation sequences, and BMS graphics are relevant to the role.
- The role requires integration of HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, access control, elevator, and other building subsystems.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience, as stated in the source metadata.
- Experience designing, programming, and commissioning automated building management systems.
- Working knowledge of Niagara N4 and BMS architecture.
- Ability to integrate HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, access control, elevator, and other subsystems.
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and related system integration protocols.
- Ability to work with MEP, HVAC, electrical teams, and subcontractors.
