Support projects from early planning and schematic design through construction and commissioning.
Participate in building enclosure commissioning, including review of submittals, mock‑ups, testing protocols, and field observations.

What you’ll do day to day
Lead building enclosure analysis and design for rehabilitation, renewal, and new construction.
Lead or support condition surveys, field investigations, envelope testing, and technical reviews.
Conduct thermal and hygrothermal modelling in collaboration with sustainability and energy specialists.
Translate field findings, test results, and analysis into clear reports, drawings, and specifications.
Complete property and building condition assessments for pre‑purchase, refinancing, capital planning, and due diligence.
Develop envelope repair, renewal, and replacement strategies across a range of building types.
Collaborate with CAD and BIM teams to produce accurate, coordinated documentation.
Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
Actively contribute to business development through improvement and expansion of services.
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Building Science Engineering from an accredited program.
12+ years of experience in building enclosure engineering, restoration, rehabilitation, or existing building assessment.
5+ years in a leadership role within the building enclosure consulting services.
Demonstrated experience with enclosure testing, thermography, and performance‑based analysis.
Experience collaborating with energy or sustainability teams is a strong asset.
Experience leading technical work and mentoring junior staff.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario preferred.
Professional licensure in Quebec (OIQ) is a strong asset .
Professional licensure in other Provinces and Territories is an asset particularly for candidates interested in working on projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Certification as a Building Science Specialist (BSS) through the Building Science Association of Ontario and Building Science Specialist Board of Canada is preferred.
Credentials such as IIBEC , thermography training, or commissioning certifications are considered assets.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to attend site visits.
Strong foundation in building science and enclosure systems.
Ability to balance technical rigour with constructability and client needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset .
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and engineering business fundamentals.
Sound knowledge of Engineering business fundamentals.

Hourly salary range: $53,85 – $61,54 per hour , with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, scope of the role, and geographic location.
