Job Summary

  • The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the supermarket branch, ensuring smooth day to day operations, excellent customer service, sales growth, profitability, inventory control, and compliance with company policies and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities Operations Management

  • Manage the daily operations of the supermarket to ensure efficient and effective performance.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully operational at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of product availability, merchandising, and store presentation.
  • Monitor branch performance and implement action plans to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Profitability

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Maximize profitability by controlling expenses and reducing waste.
  • Monitor sales trends and implement promotional activities to increase revenue.
  • Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for business growth.

Key Responsibilities Team Management

  • Supervise, motivate, and develop branch employees.
  • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and disciplinary procedures.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
  • Monitor stock receiving, transfers, and stock counts.
  • Minimize inventory losses due to damage, expiry, or shrinkage.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of products.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service

  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Build strong customer relationships to improve satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, food safety standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the branch.
  • Ensure all licenses and statutory requirements remain valid.

Key Responsibilities Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Report sales performance, staffing, inventory, and operational issues to management.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
