Manager responsible for business development and branch operations at a building materials trading company in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The business trades hardware, building materials, construction items, and machine tools.
Branch Operations
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Monitor inventory, manage procurement, and maintain quality control measures.
- Coordinate logistics and timely delivery of products to clients.
- Manage branch staff and provide training and development.
Business Development and Sales
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients to drive growth.
- Maintain existing client relationships and secure repeat business.
- Research industry trends and competitor activities across the Middle East market.
- Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets and prepare proposals, pitches, and contracts.
- Maintain sales records and collaborate with marketing on promotional strategies.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in operations management and business development within the relevant trading sector is required.
- Strong understanding of the KSA, UAE, Oman, and Bahrain markets is required.
- CRM software proficiency, strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills are required.
- A valid UAE driving license and a bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field are required.

- Proactive, self-motivated, commercially minded, and attentive to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to travel across the Middle East as required.
- Two years of building materials trading experience is preferred.
Employment and Compensation
- The role is full-time and permanent.
- Pay starts at AED 2,500 per month.
Work Location
- Work is performed in person in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
