Role Description
The Boiler Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Qatar.
The role operates, monitors, and maintains steam and hot water boilers and associated mechanical systems for safe and efficient performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Start and shut down equipment, adjust controls, check gauges and meters, and record operating data.
- Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
- Respond to alarms and system irregularities while following safety procedures and applicable standards.
- Support facilities operations staff and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have welding and metal fabrication skills for basic boiler-related repairs and fabrication.
- Candidates should have TIG welding and oxy-acetylene skills for precision work on pipes, joints, and structural elements.
- Candidates should be able to read blueprints, piping layouts, and equipment specifications.
- Previous Boiler Operator or industrial mechanical operations experience is preferred within facilities management or similar environments.
- Knowledge of boiler safety standards, control systems, and routine inspection procedures is required.
- A relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, industrial, or boiler operations is preferred.
- Candidates need safety awareness, the ability to follow standard operating procedures, and effective English communication skills.
Work Schedule
- The role requires on-site rotating shift work, including weekends and holidays when required.
