Department Definition
The Science department aims to teach Biology to students who need a solid foundation to develop their skills.
The incumbent is responsible to assess students performance with the aim of helping students develop the linguistic ability to function effectively in an international environment.
Main Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Model and support a learner-centered, hands-on classroom environment that promotes learner engagement and participation.
- Ensure that students reach the expected age-related outcomes for Biology.
- Gain an understanding of working with Arab youth who will study Biology in English.
- Create a positive, active, language-rich learning environment.
- Support the learning process by identifying needs and guiding students to achieve their learning objectives.
- Ensure assessments are delivered according to the assessment strategy and guidelines, in a valid and rigorous manner.
- Maintain an accurate record of student achievement and performance.
- Create positive and effective relationships with colleagues.
Requirements For Expatriates
3+ years of full-time teaching experience in schools for expats (after graduation)
2+ years full- time teaching experience in schools if the candidate possesses one of the following that is regarded as a teaching qualification
Requirements For Emirati Nationals
No previous teaching experience required.
