Bindery - Operator I (61478)

As a Bindery - Operator I you are responsible for the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of applicable equipment.

The equipment operated includes but is not limited to: Perfect Binders.

This position works 4 days a week 3pm to 1am and on Fridays if needed 1pm to 9pm.

• Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
• Lead and coach crew members.
• Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.
• Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
• Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
• Maintain accurate counts.
• Coordinate with supervisors/maintenance on timely repair of equipment
• Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Train new Bindery Operators and crew.
• Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.
