Role Overview
The BIM Lead will manage a BIM team, oversee delivery planning and quality control, and lead BIM governance and coordination activities.
The role requires strong technical BIM capability across MEP and industrial systems.
BIM Leadership
- Manage and develop a BIM team of more than 10 modelers and coordinators.
- Allocate workloads and plan delivery across BIM activities.
- Own QA/QC processes and provide final model and drawing sign-off.
- Train, mentor, and upskill BIM team members.
- Lead performance management and team development.
- Challenge engineers, consultants, and project teams when required.
- Use strong communication, presentation, and meeting leadership skills.
BIM Management and Governance
- Manage BIM Execution Plans, including BEP requirements.
- Apply ISO 19650 workflows, BIM standards, templates, and delivery processes.
- Use Common Data Environments including Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360.
- Lead model federation and model coordination.
- Apply MIDP, TIDP, LOD, and LOI concepts.
- Develop clash detection strategies, issue tracking, model audits, and compliance checks.
- Support digital handover and as-built model management.
- COBie and asset information experience is useful but not essential.
