About the Role

Responsibilities
- Develop analytic and reporting capabilities to improve customer experience by surfacing signals from the fulfillment network.
- Create new customer experiences by messaging items that ship with items in your cart.
- Nudge customers towards lower cost / lower carbon fulfillment by increasing prominence of locally available offers.
- Collaborate with top economists, research scientists, data engineers, product managers and software developers.
- Be responsible for metrics, dashboards, and measurement across Promise platforms and fulfillment signal products.
Requirements
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab.
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift (preferred).
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large scale, complex datasets (preferred).

Description
- The Promise team sets the expectation for when items arrive. The delivery promises we make are key to acquiring and retaining customers and influence the short and long term profitability of Amazon's global retail business.
- We serve as the interface between customer expectations and Amazon's industry leading fulfillment capabilities. We are part of the Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) group.
Key job responsibilities
- The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and critical thinker with advanced problem solving, data mining, and scripting (Python or Scala) skills.
- They enjoy collaborating with top economists, research scientists, data engineers, product managers and software developers to make decisions for Amazon's retail and operations teams.
- The candidate will be responsible for metrics, dashboards, and measurement across Promise platforms and fulfillment signal products to help improve evaluate inventory, fulfillment capabilities, and carrier capabilities.
- Your work will have a direct impact on Amazon's business and customer promise.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience.

Compensation
- The base salary range for this position is 76,400.00 127,600.00 CAD annually.
- Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
