The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the end to end bid management process, ensuring the timely development and submission of high quality, competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement bid management strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives and business development goals.
  • Lead the complete bid lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, bid planning, proposal development, review, submission, clarification, and post bid activities.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams including sales, business development, technical, finance, legal, procurement, operations, and project management to produce winning proposals.
  • Review tender documents, requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), invitations to tender (ITTs), and client requirements to ensure full compliance.
  • Develop bid schedules, responsibilities, content plans, pricing coordination, and submission timelines to ensure on time delivery.
  • Manage proposal quality, formatting, messaging, executive summaries, and value propositions to strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate commercial, technical, legal, financial, and contractual inputs to ensure accurate and compliant submissions.
  • Conduct competitor analysis, win/loss reviews, risk assessments, and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve bid performance.
  • Maintain bid libraries, proposal templates, knowledge repositories, and governance processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Monitor bid performance metrics, win rates, pipeline activity, and proposal effectiveness, preparing reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and support bid coordinators, proposal specialists, and cross functional contributors while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, Communications, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as APMP, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in bid management, proposal management, business development, commercial management, or tender management roles.
  • 2+ years of experience managing complex bids, proposal teams, or large scale tender submissions preferred.
  • Strong understanding of bid management methodologies, proposal development, commercial strategy, contract requirements, and procurement processes.
  • Experience with proposal management software, CRM systems, document management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, writing, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent bids while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
