t will work closely with the Senior BCM Analyst and Section Head - Business Continuity in implementing and maintaining a Business Continuity program for the Bank, spanning domestic and overseas operations.
The incumbent will also assist in the design and implementation of strategies to ensure that the Bank is prepared, resilient and ready to counter events that could impact or disrupt critical business processes/ operations.
The position's primary goals will be to identify, document and test business needs against the Bank infrastructure and identify recovery strategies and gaps.
Detailed Role And Responsibilities
- Perform all activities, as assigned by the reporting authorities, in compliance with local/ foreign regulations, Doha Bank’s policies and approved Business Continuity policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the reporting authorities and respective functional business areas to develop and maintain department level recovery strategies that addresses business recovery and emergency response management.
- Contribute towards the implementation of Business Continuity projects to ensure that objectives, schedules and budgets are met.
- Assist in ensuring that the work of internal divisions/ departments/units is least impacted due to unforeseen disaster/crises events through the establishment and implementation of a robust BCM program/plan for the Bank.
- Ensure that Business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessments are in place for all the processes in the Bank.
- In partnership with the business units, analyze and identify the critical business processes and sub processes in various business units to enable the development of an adequate and comprehensive BCM strategy/plan.
- Establish a comprehensive understanding of process and applications used by the business in order to identify recovery strategies and plans required for each identified process and application.
- Develop Business continuity documentation including business impact analysis, risk assessment, recovery planning, identifying the test requirements and coordinating the BCMS drills, and maintain system of record data for audit/regulatory purposes.
Educational Qualifications And Experience
- University graduate with a degree in Business or Banking or Finance or any other related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Management any other related discipline will be an added advantage.
- 05-08 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
- Experience in Business continuity.
