Responsibilities
- Answer guest questions regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines
- Check quality and quantity of all stock and supplies; requisition supplies
- Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems
- Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles
- Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure bank
- Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
- Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs promptly
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- Ensure staff works together as a team
Requirements
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- No supervisory experience required

Position Summary
- Responder las dudas e inquietudes de los huéspedes respecto al origen, la cosecha y el estilo de los diversos vinos.
- Comprobar la calidad y cantidad de todas las existencias y provisiones. Solicitar todas las provisiones. Reponer las bebidas alcohólicas botella por botella.
- Comunicar la última llamada en el horario de cierre designado. Preparar los pedidos de bebidas para los huéspedes según recetas específicas mediante sistemas de medición.
- Entregar, abrir y servir las botellas de vino y champaña. Computar la caja al final del turno, completar los informes del cajero designado, resolver cualquier discrepancia, entregar los recibos y asegurar la caja.
- Conseguir el cambio necesario para el nivel esperado de transacciones y asegurar la caja en todo momento. Asegurar los licores, las cervezas, los vinos, los refrigeradores, los armarios y las áreas de depósito.
- Anticiparse a la necesidad de reabastecimiento y comunicarla de inmediato. Asegurar que el personal trabaje como equipo.
- Asistir a la gerencia en la contratación, capacitación, programación, evaluación, asesoramiento, disciplina, motivación y entrenamiento de los empleados; servir como ejemplo.
- Cumplir con todas las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad de la compañía; informar cualquier problema de mantenimiento, peligros para la seguridad, accidentes o lesiones; completar la capacitación y certificaciones sobre seguridad.
- Asegurarse de que tanto el uniforme como la apariencia personal sean pulcros y profesionales. Mantener la privacidad de la información propiedad de la compañía; proteger sus bienes.
- Apoyar a todos los compañeros de trabajo y tratarlos con dignidad y respeto. Dar apoyo al equipo para alcanzar metas comunes.
- Cumplir las expectativas y los estándares de aseguramiento de la calidad. Mover, levantar, transportar, empujar, arrastrar y colocar objetos con un peso inferior a 50 libras (22,50 Kg) o su equivalente sin asistencia.
- Estar de pie, sentarse o caminar durante períodos prolongados o durante el turno de trabajo completo. Leer y verificar visualmente información en varios formatos (por ejemplo, las letras menudas).
APTITUDES DESEABLES
- Educación: Título de estudios secundarios o certificado equivalente de un programa de Desarrollo de Educación General (GED).
- Experiencia laboral afín: Al menos 1 año de experiencia laboral afín.
- Experiencia como supervisor: No se requiere experiencia como supervisor.
