The Role

Own the backend across services, APIs, data, jobs, integrations, and reliability practices for two live AI products.

Build the platform that supports AI models and pipelines, including queues, retries, cost and latency budgets, audit trails, tenancy, and customer-facing integrations.

The role is on-site in Dubai, and the employer sponsors the employment visa.

The company is founder-led, small-team, Salesforce-partnered, audited to SOC 2 Type II, and certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

What You Will Do

  • Own backend architecture and delivery from design through production.
  • Write and deliver the architecture plan for the next platform stage.
  • Set standards for code review, tests, CI/CD, rollbacks, monitoring, tracing, and incident response.
  • Build and harden MCP, Salesforce, and messaging integrations.
  • Design authentication, tenancy, audit trails, data residency, and secrets management for security and audit.
  • Run production LLM pipelines with asynchronous orchestration, provider failover, and cost controls.
  • Develop engineers and contractors through review and example.

What You Bring

  • Bring 4+ years of production backend experience and end-to-end service ownership, including releases, on-call, incidents, and recovery.
  • Use TypeScript and Node.js in production backend services.
  • Have deep PostgreSQL experience with schema design, migrations, and query performance.
  • Have experience with APIs, queues, retries, idempotency, and versioning.
  • Have production cloud experience with containers, managed services, networking, secrets, CI/CD, automated tests, and rollbacks.
  • Understand engineering-side authentication, tenancy, audit logs, and SOC 2 or ISO 27001 controls.
  • Ship end to end in a small team and write clearly.

Nice to Have

  • Python experience for AI pipelines.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS backend experience with OAuth or OIDC, RBAC, audit logging, or data residency.
  • Salesforce platform work such as Apex, packaging, or platform events.
  • MCP servers or clients, production LLM pipelines, observability, messaging platforms, or Cloudflare experience.
