Azure Systems / Cloud Administrator (Mid) : 342 (Remote)

We are seeking a Server Network Administrator with mid-level system administration skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for our Microsoft Azure IaaS environment, on-site Windows server and systems administration, as well as the operation and maintenance of Microsoft Server 2016/2019 with Microsoft Hyper-V and Active Directory Federated Services. This role will also entail supporting the migration of on-premises cloud systems to cloud-based environments and managing cloud-to-cloud migrations.

Maintenance of hardware systems such as Dell Servers, Dell Compellent Storage Area Network (SAN), and Brocade Switches

Administration of our Microsoft Azure IaaS environment and on-site Windows server

Management of hardware/software configurations, updates, patches, and ITIL-compliant documentation processes

Integration of various technologies as tasked by government process through configuration control board and execution of process through test platform.

Execution of system modernization, performance monitoring, capacity planning, problem resolution, infrastructure software deployment, and application software deployment

Maintenance of RMF Continuous Monitoring of assigned servers through submission of STIG checklists and POA&Ms quarterly

Management of SSL website certificates and server certificates on required assets

Backup and restoration of systems and data, as well as building of virtual servers

Configuration and management of a Development/Test/Staging environment that mimics Production functions

Assuring the 24x7 operation of on-premises server farms and Azure IaaS servers

Execution of server contingency operations, disaster recovery, and business continuity

Supporting migration of on-premises cloud systems to cloud-based environments and handling cloud-to-cloud migrations.

Minimum of 8 year's work experience in the field

Strong interpersonal skills

Demonstrable technical analytical and critical thinking skills

Proficiency in current Microsoft server operating systems, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, Internet Information Services (IIS) 8.5 and 10, PKI and other authentication methods, Microsoft Hyper-V, Domain Name Server, and Active Directory

Knowledge of Ports and Protocols, Cloud Services, and Backup Services

Extensive experience with on-premises to cloud and cloud-to-cloud migrations

Ability to respond quickly to work requests or technical issues, and dive deeper if the answer is unknown.
