DevOps Engineer

Location: Bangalore

* Role Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, improving deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based applications. You will collaborate closely with software developers, QA engineers, architects, and operations teams to enable efficient software delivery and operational excellence.

* Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

* Experience in both Azure & AWS.

* Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes to improve engineering productivity.

* Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.

* Deploy, configure, and support applications on Microsoft Azure.

* Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes.

* Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

* Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery readiness.

* Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment strategies and operational reliability.

* Implement security best practices, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, and identity/access management.

* Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, infrastructure incidents, and production outages.

* Develop automation scripts using PowerShell DSC or equivalent, Python, or Bash.

* Support release management activities and production deployments.

* Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Understanding of security, identity management, and access control using Azure AD, AWS IAM, Active Directory, and related technologies.

* Document infrastructure, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

* Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

* 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Software Engineering with DevOps responsibilities.

* Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Git, and version control systems.

* Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

* Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Azure Automation, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Active Directory.

* Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

* Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.

* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

* Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.

* Experience with SQL Server administration and database deployment automation.

* Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, DNS, SSL/TLS, firewalls, and virtual networking.

* Experience implementing monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and performance tuning.

* Strong understanding of security best practices, RBAC, IAM, secret management, and compliance.

* Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills.

* Preferred Qualifications

* Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-400).

* Experience with GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines YAML.

* Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting validation tools is a plus.

* Experience with PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) or Azure Automation.

* Experience with container security and vulnerability scanning.

* Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).

* Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud-native applications.

* Exposure to test automation frameworks and release governance.
