Role overview

Client engagement and architecture

• Define cloud strategies, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives with enterprise clients.
• Translate business needs into scalable Azure solutions.
• Facilitate architecture workshops, design reviews, and executive discussions.
• Architect secure and resilient Azure platforms across IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native services.
• Design Azure Landing Zones aligned with governance, security, and compliance needs.

Frameworks and engineering

• Lead cloud adoption journeys using the Cloud Adoption Framework lifecycle.
• Apply Well-Architected Framework principles for security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Guide adoption of microservices, containers, and serverless patterns.
• Drive DevOps adoption with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Implement Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and automated pipelines.

Governance and delivery

• Define enterprise Azure governance models using RBAC, policies, and management groups.
• Implement Microsoft-native security and compliance frameworks.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams.
• Drive delivery quality, reusable assets, best practices, and accelerators.

Required experience

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture and services experience.
• Experience with CAF, WAF, Azure Landing Zones, Terraform, cloud automation, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience with hybrid cloud, migration programs, stakeholder engagement, and client-facing consulting.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation programs.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain security clearance are required.

Preferred qualifications

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, AZ-305.
• Existing security clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with AKS, containers, serverless, or Azure data, AI, and analytics workloads is preferred.
