AWS Cloud Operations & Support - Engineer

Role Overview

Incident Management and Operations

• Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor AWS infrastructure 24/7 through CloudWatch and escalate and resolve issues.
• Maintain SLAs and SLOs and report uptime metrics to leadership.

Infrastructure Management and Optimization

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS compute, networking, storage, and database infrastructure.
• Execute operating system upgrades, patches, and security updates on production systems.
• Optimize AWS costs through rightsizing and savings opportunities.

Security and Compliance

• Manage vulnerability assessments using Qualys, CrowdStrike, or similar tools.
• Remediate security findings and maintain current IAM policies and access controls.
• Support compliance audits and maintain the infrastructure security posture.

Communication and Reporting

• Communicate technical issues clearly to management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Deliver incident reports, post-mortems, optimization recommendations, and cost analyses.

Schedule

• Standard shift timing is 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Indian Standard Time.
• The role requires flexibility to work outside business hours for critical issues, SLA or KPI support, and major launches.
• Work from the office at least two days per week.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, cloud operations, AWS, and cloud administration.
• Hands-on technical expertise in AWS services and infrastructure operations.
• Experience managing incident response, troubleshooting production issues, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Experience monitoring AWS infrastructure and resolving operational issues against SLAs and SLOs.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining AWS compute, networking, storage, and database infrastructure.
• Experience executing operating system upgrades, patches, and security updates on production systems.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment, security remediation, IAM policies, and access controls.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Experience preparing incident reports, post-mortems, optimization recommendations, and cost analyses.
