We are seeking a senior individual with 10+ years of experience insurance sales to effectively manage the client account and secure new business.
The Assistant Vice President will be responsible for direct sales and managing agencies.
The successful candidate should have experience in direct sales and in managing a team.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the work of Team Leaders/Account Executives.
- Effectively manages the client’s portfolio.
- Manages the Company’s response to new business opportunities.
- Demonstrates professional expertise and ability to share knowledge with Team Leaders/Account Executives.
- Monitor Team Leaders/ Account Executives to secure full prospect and secure new businesses.
- Monitor work flow of the team and take appropriate action as required.
- Understanding and application of fundamental legal and regulatory policy in relation to the insurance contract.
- Advise on the legal requirements of the client as applicable to insurance.
- Able to identify conflicts of interest and mitigate.
- Ensure excellent service delivered through robust processes and effective oversight.
- Anticipate potential service problems and instigate remedial action before these become visible to/affect customers directly, invoking escalation to management if necessary.
- Recruit team members to maintain a full complement of resource at budgeted levels.
Education
- University degree.
- Higher professional qualifications preferred e.g. ACII or FCII.
