Role Overview
Capco is hiring an Automation Test Engineer to support software testing and quality activities for financial services technology projects.
The role covers functional, technical, automation, performance, stability, and reliability testing within agile delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Understand testing requirements and implement effective testing activities, including issue tracking and resolution.
- Define testing approaches and select suitable tools for each solution.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test suites, and test data.
- Review design documents, user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria to create test scenarios.
- Build reusable, low-maintenance automation suites that can run across multiple releases.
- Report risks, issues, blockers, and upcoming tasks to Scrum Masters or Quality Managers.
- Detect, report, and help prioritize defects with Product Owners.
- Design and execute tests for load, scalability, stability, reliability, and system performance.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Expertise in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber.
- Strong coding knowledge in Java.
- Experience designing and creating low-maintenance automated test suites with TestNG, Selenium, and Java.
