Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automation engineering strategies, standards, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives
- Lead end to end automation projects, including planning, design, development, testing, commissioning, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Health & Safety, and Executive Leadership to deliver automation initiatives
- Design and optimize automated manufacturing, industrial control, robotics, process automation, and smart factory solutions to improve productivity and operational efficiency
- Manage engineering resources, project schedules, budgets, risks, and vendor relationships to ensure successful project execution
- Oversee the development and maintenance of PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, robotics, motion control, instrumentation, and industrial communication systems
- Ensure automation systems comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, cybersecurity requirements, and industry best practices
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including equipment reliability, system availability, production efficiency, downtime, project delivery, quality, and return on investment (ROI)
- Identify opportunities to improve automation performance through Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, predictive maintenance, digital twins, and advanced analytics
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives across automated systems
- Prepare engineering reports, project updates, technical documentation, performance dashboards, and executive presentations
- Lead, mentor, and develop automation engineers, controls engineers, technicians, and project teams while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering, industrial automation, controls engineering, manufacturing, or related roles
- At least 2 years of experience managing automation projects, engineering teams, or industrial automation programs preferred
- Strong understanding of PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, robotics, industrial networking, instrumentation, motion control, and industrial control systems
- Experience with Siemens, Rockwell Automation, ABB, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi Electric, Omron, Wonderware, Ignition, OPC, MQTT, ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and engineering software
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IIoT, AI, machine learning, cybersecurity for operational technology (OT), cloud platforms, and digital transformation initiatives is advantageous
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, project management, stakeholder management, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple engineering projects while balancing quality, safety, budgets, timelines, and operational priorities
- Ability to work independently and effectively in remote and hybrid environments

- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering, industrial automation, controls engineering, manufacturing, or related roles.
- At least 2 years of experience managing automation projects, engineering teams, or industrial automation programs preferred.
- Strong understanding of PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, robotics, industrial networking, instrumentation, motion control, and industrial control systems.
