Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support automated workflows, system integrations and digital solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint and related technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation, integration and continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency, user experience and data quality.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of digital systems that support teaching, learning and professional services across the College.
  • Ensure all digital solutions are secure, accessible, compliant and aligned with data protection and information governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with academic and professional services teams to understand requirements and deliver user-focused digital solutions.
  • Create documentation, guidance and training materials, providing support and demonstrations to promote successful adoption of new technologies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of key digital platforms including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Moodle and other staff and student-facing systems.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and digital trends, supporting innovation, service enhancement and the evaluation of new opportunities.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support digital transformation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the College.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Educated to HND (SCQF Level 8) or equivalent, or relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Willingness to work towards further relevant qualifications where appropriate.
  • Developing automated and integrated digital solutions using Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Using digital tools to streamline administrative and operational processes.
  • Working with platforms such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Stream and related services.
  • Supporting users in the adoption of digital systems through guidance, documentation and demonstrations.
  • Developing digital content and resources to support system use and engagement.
  • Working collaboratively across teams and services to deliver digital improvements.
  • Awareness of accessibility, usability and information governance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to translate user needs into effective digital solutions.
  • Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders, including teaching staff and professional services.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and improvement-focused approach to work.
