Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in audio engineering, electronics, or a related field.
- Certification such as CTS or CTS-D.
- Experience with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or Barco.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software for system layouts.
- Expertise in networking and IP-based AV solutions.
- Strong understanding of acoustics and sound system design.
- Familiarity with video production and editing software.
- Project management skills and experience leading AV projects.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Engineer or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, cabling, wiring, and electrical systems.
- Willingness to travel to different sites and familiarity with AV installation health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and implement audio-visual systems tailored to client needs.
- Install and set up projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot AV systems.
- Configure and calibrate AV equipment for optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and user training.
- Collaborate with IT staff to integrate AV systems into network infrastructure.
- Manage and document AV equipment inventory.
- Stay current with AV technologies and industry trends.
- Assist with live events, conferences, and presentations.
- Customize control systems and user interfaces.
- Create detailed system diagrams and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
