Responsibilities
- Analyze client financial statements to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Examine financial and accounting records, documents, and tangible items
- Test client organization's internal controls and processes
- Build trust and credibility with clients by understanding expectations and delivering high quality services
- Communicate engagement progress, risks, and issues to Manager/Partner in a timely manner
- Take full ownership of external file completion
- Analyze engagement economics and explain variances from budgets
- Review work of associate levels and provide on job training, coaching, and feedback
- Adhere to compliance with risk, quality, and independence matters
- Participate in business development activities and build client relationships
- Engage with diverse teams from planning through completion of audit
- Take part in digital initiatives and upskilling aligned with team's business needs
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Completed or pursuing professional qualification (ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA)
- Progressive experience at Senior Associate level in external audit at a Big 4 firm
- Experience in auditing Banking/Insurance clients is an asset
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is a plus
- Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and IFRS
- Experience in coaching and leading engagement teams

How You’ll Contribute
- Use analytical skills to analyze client financial statements and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
- Examine financial and accounting records, other documents, and tangible items such as inventory or plant and equipment.
- Ask a range of questions to individuals at client organizations.
- Test client organization's internal controls and processes.
- Build trust and credibility with clients by understanding expectations and delivering high quality services.
- Take accountability for researching and understanding key facts on the client's industry before engagement begins.
- Communicate with Manager and/or Partner in a timely manner regarding engagement progress, risks, issues, variances.
- Take full ownership of external file completion.
- Analyze engagement economics of self and field staff and explain variances from budgets.
- Review work of associate levels and provide on job training, coaching, and constructive feedback.
- Ensure adherence to compliance with risk, quality, and independence matters.
- Understand business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in accounting, finance or any other related academic major.
- Completed or pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA (preferably).
- Progressive experience at the Senior Associate level working with a range of external audit clients in a Big 4 professional services firm.
- Experience in auditing Banking/Insurance clients is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus.
- Business development and client relationship building skills.
- Willingness to challenge norms and create a cohesive and effective working team.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Experience in applying ISAs on external audit of financial services with excellent IFRS knowledge (e.g., IFRS 9, 17) and financial services regulations.
- Knowledge in audit technologies and experience using Data Analytics tools is a plus.
