Role Description
The Assortment Planning Assistant supports product assortment, range planning, and merchandise management activities.
The role uses customer demand, sales performance, market trends, inventory levels, and business objectives to support assortment decisions.
Success requires analytical ability, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
Core Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze sales and product data.
- Maintain assortment plans and accurate product information.
- Prepare reports and planning materials.
- Monitor product performance and support seasonal and promotional planning.
- Collaborate with merchandising, buying, product, inventory, marketing, and supply chain teams.
- Identify assortment gaps, track product availability, support range reviews, and maintain planning records.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of assortment planning, merchandise planning, inventory management, and retail or product lifecycle concepts.
