Associate Technical Director - Pavement Engineering

Leading a variety of consultancy projects and work packages in the field of pavement engineering.

Ensuring project deliverables are prepared on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Enhancing client and industry relationships with both number of public and private stakeholders.

Promote pavement and asset management within AtkinsRéalis.

Developing the talent within the team through coaching and mentoring and supporting their technical career development aspirations.

Championing company processes and policies, and ensuring adherence to safety, welfare, quality and environmental requirements.

About you

Degree in Civil Engineering or similar disciplines.

Certified Pavement Engineer.

Proven technical leadership within the field of pavement engineering.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of pavement design principles (Flexible, Rigid and Composite Pavements).

Extensive knowledge and understanding of earthworks and pavement materials (Concrete, Asphalt and Hydraulically Bound Materials).

in the use of UK and/or international standards for the design of pavements for highway, airfield, port, and other applications.

in specification, execution, analysis, and interpretation of a comprehensive range of geotechnical and pavement investigation and evaluation techniques.

in managing and delivering projects and meeting client expectations.

Ability to work in a client facing environment with good communication skills.
