Role Description
Support the design, development, and maintenance of internal and client-facing software solutions.
Collaborate with senior engineers in a part-time remote role.
Responsibilities
- Implement backend features, fix bugs, and optimize system performance.
- Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Assist with API and database integration.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to technical documentation.
- Communicate with the team about requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Have a solid foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Have practical experience with software development and programming; modern languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript are preferred.
- Understand backend web development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Know object-oriented programming concepts and be able to apply them in real projects.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in debugging and testing software.
- Work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with Git and agile or iterative development practices is beneficial.
