- Conduct basic market research to obtain pricing information

- Maintain and update cost databases and historical cost records
- Perform basic quality checks on quantities and estimates
- Provide general administrative and technical support to the commercial/estimating team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Cost Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Basic understanding of cost estimation, quantity measurement, and construction processes
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Job Description
- Associate Quantity Surveyor Qatar
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role, you will support cost and quantity related activities across engineering and construction projects, including measurement, cost estimating, and tender support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for engineering and construction projects.
- Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and quantify works.
- Supporting the development of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns, and measurement sheets.
- Collaborating with senior quantity surveyors/estimators and project teams to gather data.
- Conducting basic market research to obtain pricing information.
- Assisting in the preparation of tender documents and proposals.
- Maintaining and updating cost databases, historical cost records, and standard estimating/measurement tools.
- Performing basic quality checks on quantities and estimates.
- Providing general administrative and technical support to the commercial/estimating team.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Cost Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Basic understanding of cost estimation, quantity measurement, and construction processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Familiarity with estimating and/or quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., Primavera, CostX, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of construction contracts and project management principles.
- Internship or prior experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or construction projects is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in cost management, commercial support, and project controls.
