Responsibilities
- Assist the portfolio manager by providing industry insight, bottom up fundamental research and actionable stock recommendations
- Conduct primary and secondary research
- Perform complex financial modeling and valuation
- Assist in developing investment strategies and build asset allocation models
- Generate periodic reports on portfolio performance/ return attribution analysis/ benchmarking
- Daily monitoring of portfolio holdings for corporate actions and relevant events
- Preparing material for presentation of investment opportunities and regular updates to management
- Develop and sustain frequent contacts with management teams and industry sources
- Assist with daily trading execution and documentation
Requirements
- Generalist with experience in Equity Research; MENA exposure is a plus
- Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and strong Excel modeling skills
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills able to communicate clearly and succinctly
- Capable of developing independent opinion and defending own views
- Experience using Bloomberg
- Advanced Excel skills
- Post Graduate Degree in a relevant discipline; CA/CFA highly desirable

Job Purpose
- We are seeking to recruit an experienced Equity Associate to join our Doha based Investments Team.
- The new team member will report to the Portfolio Manager and assist in the day to day management of equity investments.
Specific Accountability
- Assist the portfolio manager by providing industry insight, bottom up fundamental research and actionable stock recommendations.
- Conduct primary and secondary research.
- Perform complex financial modeling and valuation.
