Role Overview
The Associate Product Owner Intern joins the Technology team to translate business ideas into clear requirements, organized backlogs, and practical technology releases.
The role reports to the VP, Customer Platforms and is based at the Birchmount Office in Markham with a hybrid work model.
The position is a four-month full-time contract paid at CAD 23 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Translate business asks into user stories, acceptance criteria, process notes, and lightweight product artifacts.
- Participate in discovery sessions and document the reasons, stakeholders, and desired outcomes behind proposed solutions.
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and delivery follow-ups with product, delivery, Scrum, and development teams.
- Create process maps, data flows, decision notes, and documentation that connect business and technology teams.
- Support QA test scenarios, validation notes, defect triage, and release readiness.
- Use data, SQL basics, and platform knowledge to investigate questions, validate outcomes, and support troubleshooting.
