About the Role

Work with the product team on a platform used by real clients every day.

Focus on research and user discovery to understand product usage, user friction, and implications for future product decisions.

Use AI and agentic tools throughout the work in a collaborative, fast-paced, AI-driven environment.

This opportunity is for current students seeking work experience in Winter 2027 from January through April.

Eligibility and Office Expectations

  • The role is based in Canada and requires occasional work from offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and/or Waterloo.

What You'll Do

  • Run user research and discovery conversations to identify how people use products and where they experience friction.
  • Turn research findings into clear notes, summaries, and write-ups that help the team make decisions.
  • Translate insights into user stories, requirements, simple wireframes or prototypes, and support for testing and feedback cycles.
  • Build rough concepts and put them in front of users with the help of AI tooling.
  • Draft release notes, communicate changes to clients, and follow up after releases.
  • Share research findings and lessons learned, including what could be done differently.

What You Bring

  • Interest in joining a product team and creating customer-focused solutions.
  • Comfort receiving feedback early and iterating with real users on meaningful problems.
  • Experience using AI tooling such as Claude in personal or professional work.
  • Clear, confident communication and professionalism when engaging with teams and executives.
  • Understanding of the product lifecycle and SDLC from concept through launch and iteration.

Responsible AI

Employees, contractors, and associates are expected to be trained and well-versed in Responsible AI principles when developing and deploying AI solutions.

Team members are empowered to raise and escalate Responsible AI concerns as required.
