Role Overview
The Associate Principal Engineer, AI Architect will architect and deliver production-grade Generative AI applications at scale.
The role defines technical strategy across application, backend, frontend, AI infrastructure, security, and governance layers.
Requirements
- At least nine years of total professional experience.
- Software engineering experience with strong Python expertise.
- Experience architecting and delivering production-grade Generative AI applications at scale.
- Deep understanding of LLM integration patterns, RAG systems, and AI-driven UX design.
- Strong system design skills across backend, frontend, and AI infrastructure layers.
- Experience defining technical strategy and influencing architecture across teams or pods.
- Experience with microservices, APIs, scalable backend systems, MLOps, and cloud platforms.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Experience with CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, and governance.
- Hands-on experience with MLflow, Vertex AI, Kubeflow, or similar tools.
- Experience with GCP, including Vertex AI and BigQuery, and/or Databricks.
- Understanding of enterprise AI security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI practices.
Responsibilities
- Translate client requirements into technical designs and own architecture for Python, React, and Generative AI applications.
- Design platforms for LLM inference, RAG pipelines, agent orchestration, and AI-native user experiences.
- Lead GenAI workflows and establish standards for prompt design, model integration, evaluation, and observability.
- Build reusable platform components, SDKs, and frameworks used across teams or products.
- Partner with business and technical leaders, review designs and codebases, and lead technical discovery.
- Define architecture documentation, technologies, patterns, frameworks, and non-functional requirements; conduct POCs.
