The Associate Manager - Distribution Center (Inventory Manager) leads inventory control within a distribution center.
The role focuses on inventory accuracy, loss reduction, warehouse processes, team development, and operational efficiency.
Role profile
- Lead inventory control across the distribution center and oversee receiving, stock management, replenishment, allocation, preparation, and invoicing.
- Manage tracking systems, cycle counts, physical audits, inventory adjustments, and inventory master data.
- Analyze stock aging, shortages, losses, and supplier compliance, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain WMS configuration and apply FIFO, FEFO, and LIFO inventory principles.
- Improve logistics efficiency, resolve system issues, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Develop and manage the inventory team through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, security standards, budgets, and cross-functional requirements.
Requirements
- Maintain accurate order allocation, inbound receiving, stock management, and outbound dispatch processes.
- Drive inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies, shrinkage, and inventory losses.
- Implement initiatives that reduce logistics and inventory management costs.
- Maintain accurate WMS inventory master data, parameters, and configurations.
- Ensure storage, security, safety, and hygiene standards for goods handled through the distribution center.
- Strong analytical and inventory management skills with WMS, forecasting, advanced Excel, and 6+ years of managerial experience.
