The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is part of the School of Physics, Mathematics and Computing at The University of Western Australia. The Department has an established reputation for excellence in both research and teaching and is home to internationally recognised researchers working across pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and interdisciplinary mathematical sciences.
This position sits within the Future Fellowship project led by Professor Serena Dipierro , offering an exciting opportunity to undertake research at the forefront of nonlocal equations, partial differential equations, free boundary problems and related areas of mathematical analysis. Working alongside leading researchers, you will contribute to a collaborative and internationally connected research environment while developing your teaching and academic profile
Conduct high-quality research as part of the Future Fellowship project New Perspectives on Nonlocal Equations, contributing to scholarly publications and impactful research outcomes.
Collaborate with internationally recognised researchers and contribute to research activities across local, national and international networks.
Support the Department's teaching programs through undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum delivery and student learning activities.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics or a closely related discipline, with completed four years of tertiary study or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated research capability, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications or emerging research outputs in a relevant mathematical sciences field.
Ability to deliver engaging and effective teaching, including contributing to course materials, learning activities and student success.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, academic colleagues and research partners.
