Each Associate Field Service Engineer (AFSE) candidate will have the opportunity to develop their technical skills on multiple platforms, most notably Varian TrueBeam, C-Series, and Elekta. A detailed training plan will be created, filed, and executed in alignment with the AFSE training program and 45/90-day reviews.
The AFSE development path is designed to allow the candidate to transit through each of the operations divisions to allow the individual to gain knowledge and experience while remaining solely focused on training. The training program is scheduled to last 36 weeks. The candidate will receive periodic assessments from Learning & Development, their immediate supervisor and other individuals as required. Assessment will take place in the form of written exams, practical evaluations and observations of work.

The core responsibilities for this position include:
Participate in field operations as assigned. This will include all service operations, being used as On-The-Job Training (OJT) opportunities
Study independently and/or as directed to prepare for all assignments and rotations
Participate in classroom training and OJT activities as recommended/directed
Maintain a high degree of professionalism and safety consciousness according to guidelines to perform activities under the safest working conditions
Be timely and punctual for all assignments
Dress appropriately and professionally for the job at hand
Report by means of Salesforce, e-mail, expense reports, etc. regularly to ensure accurate company statistical data on training-oriented and customer-oriented activities
Participate in equipment jobs as assigned. These will be scheduled when available by L&D or Parts Director
Successful completion of the Associate training program and all assessments is required for promotion to FSE1. Relocation may be required to a permanent assigned region
Independent service provider for radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging systems.
