Qualifications

• While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:
• Bachelor’s degree, with a focus in fundraising, marketing, sales or other applicable disciplines
• 5+ years of progressive experience with a focus on soliciting major gifts
• Outstanding relationship-building skills including proven success identifying, evaluating, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors at the $100,000.00+ gift levels with demonstrated experience closing $1 million+ gifts
• Demonstrated ability to inspire prospects, donors, and senior volunteers by articulating aspirational goals and institutional priorities including the importance of paediatric healthcare in its three facets: clinical, education, and research
• Gift planning experience would be an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing various projects
• Creative, resourceful, cost-efficient and intuitively driven
• Ability to think strategically and work independently in directing new initiatives or enhancing existing programs
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and storytelling
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft 365); and experience with data management systems; experience with Blackbaud will be considered an asset.

Expected Hiring Salary Range

• $99,297.00 – $124,121.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $142,739.00 with demonstrated experience and proficiency. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate Director, Philanthropy.
