Requirements
- Proven expertise in corporate lending with strong analytical skills
- Sound credit knowledge with proven skills in writing credit proposals
- Strong understanding of financing instruments and banking products for Wholesale Banking
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Degree in Business, Finance or related field is highly desirable
- Graduation degree essential for UAE visa and work permit

Job Overview

- HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is an emerging markets led, financing focused business.
- Credit & Capital Management Services (CCMS) under CIB are implementing a new E2E operating model.
- The Business Credit Office (BCO) function will complete tasks currently owned by multiple actors in first line credit risk management.
In this role, you will:
- Combine client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality & requisite returns on risk
- Responsible for the delivery of BCO tasks in line with agreed OKRs, SLAs and KPIs
- Own the end to end Credit & Lending servicing journey, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for customers and internal stakeholders
- Participate in deal discussions and meetings with clients or credit risk
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the teams, including credibility with both Business and Risk leaders
- Demonstrates ability to engage in constructive and consistent dialogue with risk partners
- Work with the BCO Team Lead to ensure adequate credit risk management controls are built into the operational process
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity whilst enhancing client experience
- Adopt technology and customer experience improvement initiatives
- Protect the Bank by acting as First Line of Defence and adhering to all controls
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven expertise in corporate lending with strong analytical skills
- Must possess sound credit knowledge with proven skills of writing credit proposals
- Strong understanding of financing instruments and banking products for Wholesale Banking
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and drive alignment among senior leaders
- Tenacious with numbers – aptitude for analysing and interpreting data
- A trust earner – can listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully
- Committed to quality – high standards for work, solve problems so they are fixed and stay fixed
