The Assistant Softball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Softball Coach in coaching the highly competitive NJCAA Division II softball program.
Recruiting student athletes, assisting in coordinating practices and activity travel, and in promoting events and activities.
Working and maintaining the softball field is a requirement of this position.
This is a 12-Month staff position that reports directly to Head Softball Coach.
Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position:
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is primarily performed on the softball field, classroom or office setting under general supervision.
Outdoor work on softball field will be required.
Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, large motor skills, ability to communicate.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting only occasionally, walking and standing are required regularly, incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, or handle
