About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support the Resident Engineer with daily field engineering and supervision, including constructability reviews and monitoring work in progress.
- Review drawings and specifications for revision compliance; coordinate with design disciplines.
- Provide first level QA by reviewing contractor submittals and verifying compliance with plans and standards.
- Ensure required tests and inspections are carried out, witnessed, documented and supervise inspection staff.
- Track project progress and schedule performance, prepare reports and updates for the Resident Engineer.
- Monitor material procurement and deliveries; maintain supplier data and project records.
- Maintain daily logs, discipline turnover records; coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, enforce HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with equivalency certificate
- More than 8 years experience in construction supervision of roads, utilities and infrastructure
- ADM/DMT practice license / approval
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authorities’ regulations and approvals process
- Experience supervising structural works (e.g., pedestrian/cyclist bridges) is an advantage
- PMP certification and proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi.
- You will support the delivery of key civil infrastructure works, including pedestrian bridges, roadworks, utilities, parking areas and ramps.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the Resident Engineer with daily field engineering and supervision, including constructability reviews and monitoring work in progress.
- Review drawings and specifications for revision compliance; coordinate with design disciplines to ensure compliant execution.
- Provide first level QA by reviewing contractor submittals, verifying compliance with plans, specifications, standards and resolving technical issues.
- Ensure required tests and inspections are carried out, witnessed, documented and supervise inspection staff as required.
- Track project progress and schedule performance, prepare reports and updates for the Resident Engineer.
- Monitor material procurement and deliveries; maintain supplier data, technical catalogs and project records.
- Maintain daily logs, discipline turnover records; coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, enforce HSE requirements and hazard controls.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with equivalency certificate (as applicable).
- More than 8 years experience in construction supervision and delivery of roads, utilities and general infrastructure works.
- ADM/DMT practice license / approval.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authorities’ regulations and approvals process.
- Experience supervising structural works (e.g., pedestrian/cyclist bridges) is an advantage.
- Excellent site coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
