Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects
- Assist in the preparation of tender documentation, bills of quantities, and specification schedules
- Monitor and report on project costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
- Maintain accurate cost records and project documentation in accordance with organisational standards
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to gather cost related information and clarifications
- Support the cost team in contract administration and procurement activities
- Utilise cost management software to input, track, and analyse project financial data
- Conduct site visits to verify quantities and assess project progress against cost plans
- Assist in the preparation of cost reports and presentations for project stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cost management processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations and industry best practices
Requirements
- 2 3 years' experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or related construction roles
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, practices, and methodologies
- Proficiency in cost estimation and cost planning techniques
- Competency with cost management software (e.g., Elecosoft, Causeway, or similar platforms)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and tender processes
- Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical capability
- Strong organizational and time keeping skills
- Effective communication and people skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working on construction projects in the Middle East or UAE.

- Knowledge of tender documentation and cost benchmarking practices.
- Professional quantity surveying qualification or membership with a recognised body.
