Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi! In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the successful management and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements.
- Assist in day to day project management activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
- Manage and control all project related communications to ensure transparency, accuracy, and timely information flow across stakeholders.
- Identifies and documents changes in scope.
- Assists in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project buy outs, monitoring progress to maintain those procurements.
- Interfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate the bid process.
- Coordinate and oversee all project deliverables, ensuring timely submission and adherence to contractual and technical requirements.
- Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project with other Project Engineers.
- Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.
- Assists the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study.
- Assists in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.
- Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- 5 10 years of related field engineering experience or a broad general engineering background.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
- Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities and impact of project execution.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other engineering related software tools.
- Demonstrated potential to perform in a lead capacity, with the ability to guide and coordinate teams effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainability and environmental impact requirements in infrastructure projects.
