AL-KHOBAR, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA Position Assistant Professor, Psychology Department College of Sciences and Human Studies - Humanities and Social Sciences Institution Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University Reports to Department Chair; College Dean introduction The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in Psychology. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching, research, and service aligned with the university’s mission of academic excellence and student-centered learning. General Description The selected candidate will teach undergraduate psychology courses and contribute to curriculum development, student mentoring, and scholarly activities. The position requires strong commitment to evidence-based teaching, ethical practice, and the application of psychological theories to real-world contexts. Qualifications & Experience (Required)

  • PhD in Psychology or a closely related field (preferred)
  • Specialization in one or more areas such as: · Clinical Psychology · Counseling Psychology · Educational Psychology · Cognitive Psychology · Social Psychology · Developmental Psychology
  • University-level teaching experience (preferred)
  • Research publications in peer-reviewed journals (required for Assistant/Associate Professor ranks)
  • Knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard or equivalent)
  • Strong communication and student engagement skills Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate psychology courses according to departmental needs
  • Prepare course syllabi, assessments, and learning materials aligned with program learning outcomes
  • Apply student-centered and evidence-based teaching strategies
  • Conduct scholarly research and publish in recognized academic journals (for Assistant/Associate Professor ranks)
  • Supervise student projects, research papers, and capstone assignments
  • Provide academic advising and mentoring to students
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement
  • Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
  • Contribute to accreditation, assessment, and quality assurance activities Remuneration and Benefits PMU offers an income tax-free compensation package, commensurate with rank and experience, including 12-month salary, PMU accommodation, annual vacation, and annual round-trip airfare to the home country, medical insurance and end of contract benefits.
