Position overview

The College of Business Administration seeks an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management.

The position reports to the Department Chair and College Dean.

The role combines teaching, research, student support, committee service, and academic development.

Teaching schedule

  • Full-time faculty teach during the Fall and Spring semesters, with possible Summer teaching opportunities.
  • Classes may be scheduled during daytime and evening hours.
  • The teaching load varies by academic rank and may range from 12 to 20 credit hours.

Required qualifications

  • Hold a doctorate in Human Resource Management or a closely related field from an accredited Western residential university.
  • Have at least two years of post-graduation HRM teaching experience.
  • Have knowledge of HR analytics, talent management, HR information systems, and advanced Excel.
  • Have experience with management tools, simulation techniques, and innovative teaching methods such as flipped classrooms.
  • Be able to deliver HRM microcredentials and maintain an active HRM research profile.
  • Familiarity with technology-infused academic environments is required.

Additional qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills are sought.
  • Three years of teaching excellence in English-language programs and an active publication or conference record are sought.
  • AACSB accreditation experience is highly beneficial.
  • Middle East or GCC experience is an added bonus.
  • Candidates applying for Associate or Full Professor rank must provide a documented letter of promotion.

Academic responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate business administration courses and contribute to course and program design.
  • Review courses and programs and support assessment, quality assurance, and quality enhancement.
  • Develop innovative learning and teaching approaches and provide timely coursework and examination feedback.
  • Provide student guidance and resolve or refer student issues as appropriate.
  • Participate in scholarship, professional development, committees, accreditation initiatives, and university service.
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and mentor colleagues as required.
