Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Doha, within the People & Culture team, the Assistant People & Culture Manager is responsible for maintaining and strengthening the People & Culture Department, so it embodies every aspect of MOHG's Culture and Vision.

As an Assistant People and Culture Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Doha, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Complete filing on a weekly basis and ensure that all colleagues’ records are kept up to date
• To administer all internal transfers within the hotel
• To manage all personnel procedures with regard to starters, transfers, promotions and variations plus leavers, liaising with the Finance department
• To ensure that all casuals are recorded and that administration is complete and in accordance with legal requirements
• To be familiar with the administration of colleague benefits and salaries
• Conduct monthly audits and ensure that colleagues’ personal details are kept up to date
• Conduct yearly audits of colleague files to ensure all important documents are complete in colleagues’ files
• Prepare and issue monthly Starter, Promotion, Transfer and Leavers list and send it to Payroll, Security, and IT &T
• Prepare outstanding probation list for the People and Culture Manager
• To conduct screening interviews and co-ordinate recruitment activities in liaison with the respective Division Head. Recruitment activities include: handling new requisitions; new hire reports, vacancy reports, and new-hire status; staying in touch with new hires on arrival, visa, flight pick-up, etc. Sending of employment contracts; recruitment agency relationships
• Coordinate flight tickets with colleagues and travel agencies.

As Assistant People & Culture Manager, we expect from you:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment, preferably with a multinational recognised Brand
• International Experience with GCC and/or Doha preferred
• Able to communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing
• Able to work with multicultural teams
