Role and Context
Assistant Manager role focused on US payroll operations within Aeries Technology's professional services business.
The stated experience range is 7–10 years, and the stated qualification is graduate-level education.
Payroll Processing and Validation
- Prepare payroll by reviewing employee changes, earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, time records, and one-time payments.
- Enter, validate, and maintain payroll information in payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping platforms.
- Review payroll previews, control totals, and audit reports, and drive discrepancy corrections to completion.
- Reconcile gross-to-net results, direct deposits, taxes, deductions, funding requirements, and payroll reports.
Support and Issue Resolution
- Provide backup payroll processing coverage when the Payroll Manager is unavailable.
- Respond to questions from employees, managers, HR, Finance, and external partners.
- Research payroll concerns, document findings, communicate next steps, and follow issues through resolution.
- Assist with off-cycle payments, terminations, retroactive pay, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and corrections.
