Job Overview

  • Sterling Perfumes Industries LLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager – Purchase to support procurement operations and ensure the efficient sourcing of raw materials, packaging materials, and other operational supplies.

Key Responsibilities Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Manage end to end procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and general supplies required for manufacturing and operations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to ensure competitive sourcing.
  • Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers and cost effective procurement opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value for the company.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost competitiveness.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with company quality standards and procurement policies.

Purchase Operations & Order Management

  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with procurement requirements.
  • Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain procurement records.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for material receipt and verification.

Cross Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, NPD, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to understand procurement requirements.
  • Support new product development projects by sourcing packaging materials and components within required timelines.
  • Ensure availability of materials to avoid production delays or stock shortages.

Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Monitor procurement expenses and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Support procurement budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Evaluate alternative materials or suppliers to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Inventory & Supply Planning

  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to monitor inventory levels and reorder points.
  • Assist in demand planning and procurement planning to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure efficient procurement planning to support business growth and product launches.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, supplier agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of supplier contracts, quotations, purchase orders, and delivery records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6–9 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, manufacturing, or perfume industry will be highly preferred.
  • Strong experience in vendor negotiation, sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with SAP and procurement tools.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
