Job Purpose

  • Assist in preparation, collection and consolidation of data for all Mashreq Bank entities to produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual Financial Statements in line with IFRS.
  • Assist in maintenance of General Ledger systems (Flexcube & Oracle) across all legal entities.
  • Assist for Head Office accounting functions including maintenance of all accounting records.
  • Assisting to prepare & provide information to external auditors.

Key Result Areas

  • Prepare monthly consolidated group financial statements including quarterly / reviewed financials and annual financials prepared as per IFRS.
  • Liaison with external auditor for Quarterly & Annual Financials for MB Group, representation letter, publication & printing of Group Annual Report.
  • Arrange to open set up of new GL Accounts in Flexcube and OGL and Inter Ho/branches accounts in UAE and Overseas Branches.
  • Manage receipt of monthly downloads from Flexcube and Oracle. Assistance in due analysis / validation produce periodic data for consolidation.
  • Act as Central point for managing all financial adjustment across legal entities to finalize consolidated MB Group Financials.
  • Manage and update all maintenance tables required to prepare MB Group Financials.
  • Prepare information relating to Mashreqbank shares trading activities in Dubai Financial Market (DFM) for submission to management.
  • Safe Custody of Property Documents, Share Certificates, Gold Coins and other MOA and AOA of different subsidiaries.
  • Support to PMAD for providing information to reconcile Financial and Management Reporting.
  • Review audit engagement letters and invoices for correctness and arrange approvals.
  • Preparation of Information for Foreign Investment Surveys and economic surveys.
  • Assist in other functions viz., Voucher posting, auditors letter to Management and prepare/update SOPs/flow chart.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Qualified Accountant with 2/3 years of work experience in Accounting & Management reporting in computerized environment.
  • Reasonable knowledge of various products being offered.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of UAE Central Bank guidelines and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Proficiency in computer application software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2 4 years of work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (vlookup, pivots etc.) and MS word.
  • Knowledge of Accounting systems like Core banking Flexcube, Oracle EPR.
