About the Role
Mashreq is seeking an Assistant Manager for Group Consolidation to assist in preparing consolidated financial statements for all entities. The role involves GL maintenance, liaison with external auditors, and ensuring compliance with IFRS.

Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly consolidated group financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Liaise with external auditors for quarterly and annual financials
- Manage setup of new GL accounts in Flexcube and Oracle
- Manage receipt of monthly downloads and validate data for consolidation
- Act as central point for managing financial adjustments across legal entities
- Maintain OFSA/HFM tables for group financials
- Prepare information on Mashreqbank shares trading for DFM
- Safeguard property documents and share certificates
- Support PMAD in reconciling financial and management reporting
- Review audit engagement letters and invoices
- Prepare information for foreign investment surveys and economic surveys
- Assist in testing and implementation of IFRS reports for consolidation
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant
- 2 3 years of work experience in Accounting & Management reporting in a computerized environment
- Reasonable knowledge of various banking products
- Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills
- Good working knowledge of UAE Central Bank guidelines and IFRS
- Proficiency in computer application software

Job Purpose
- Assist in preparation, collection and consolidation of data for all Mashreq Bank entities to produce timely and accurate financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Assist in maintenance of General Ledger systems (Flexcube & Oracle) across all legal entities.
- Assist for Head Office accounting functions.
- Assist to prepare and provide information to external auditors.
Key Result Areas
- Prepare monthly consolidated group financial statements including quarterly and annual financials per IFRS.
- Liaison with external auditor for Quarterly & Annual Financials.
- Arrange to open set up of new GL Accounts in Flexcube and OGL.
- Manage receipt of monthly downloads from Flexcube and Oracle.
- Act as Central point for managing financial adjustments across legal entities.
- Manage and update all maintenance tables (OFSA/HFM).
- Prepare information relating to Mashreqbank shares trading activities in DFM.
- Safe Custody of Property Documents, Share Certificates, etc.
- Support to PMAD for reconciling Financial and Management Reporting.
- Review audit engagement letters and invoices.
- Preparation of Information for Foreign Investment Surveys.
- Assist in other functions like voucher posting, auditors letter.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Qualified Accountant with 2/3 years of work experience in Accounting & Management reporting.
- Reasonable knowledge of various banking products.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of UAE Central Bank guidelines and IFRS.
- Proficiency in computer application software.
