Summary
Supervises hotel repair, maintenance, and engineering operations according to departmental standards.
Supports safe, efficient, compliant, and guest-focused hotel operations.
Engineering Operations
- Handles and maintains power tools and assists other tradespersons or technicians when requested.
- Reviews utility and equipment logs and takes corrective action with the Chief Engineer.
- Maintains engineering stores and essential spare-parts inventory.
- Monitors fuel consumption and stock levels and takes corrective measures.
- Reviews team briefings and debriefings and advises team leaders.
- Creates monthly training plans with the training manager.
Maintenance and Safety
- Modifies installations to reduce material waste and support future maintenance access.
- Maintains clean work areas and protects surroundings while performing duties.
- Repairs and maintains guest rooms, public areas, and hotel service areas.
- Inspects the building, life-safety features, and operating equipment, including difficult-access areas.
- Manages the preventive maintenance program and energy conservation measures.
- Ensures fire, life, and safety systems remain operational.
