Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Projects

Position Purpose

Project Execution

• Manage project activities covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, construction, and execution work.
• Prepare P&IDs, material bills of quantity, activity Gantt charts, and project cost estimates from user requirements.
• Prepare or check specifications and maintain technical records for each project.
• Coordinate internal customers, contractors, engineering, and production teams to complete planned work within the allocated timeline.

Contractors, Procurement, and Compliance

• Guide and supervise engineering contractors during engineering phases and support ESHQ understanding during Permit to Work processes.
• Prepare EPIC, Purchase Requisition, and Goods Received Note documentation for project procurement through the ERP system.
• Ensure statutory compliance before project execution and maintain project documentation in the system.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, project status updates, delayed-item action plans, and budget versus actual comparisons.

Quality, Budget, and Safety

• Support quality-related documentation and qualification phases including DQ, IQ, OQ, and PQ for investment projects.
• Monitor project budgets against actual costs monthly.
• Upgrade and follow plant safety standards and execute project activities according to ECI safety guidelines.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 to 8 years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Prior experience working on projects for chemical companies.

Skills and Technical Knowledge

• Ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, solve problems, and work proactively and respectfully with others.
• Proficiency in project management, SAP, and design tools such as AutoCAD or Pro Catia.
• Familiarity with 5S methodology and Cause and Effect problem-solving tools.
• Basic knowledge of environmental protection units and legal requirements applicable to the site.
• Commitment to following and monitoring required plant safety standards.
