Responsibilities
- Support the Laundry Manager in overseeing day to day operations of the luxury garment care department
- Assess garment construction, fabric composition, and determine appropriate cleaning processes
- Conduct regular spot checks on garment assessment, processing, finishing, and quality control activities
- Lead complaint investigations and root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions
- Assist in managing daily workforce activities and departmental performance
- Support capacity planning, production optimization, and monitor departmental KPIs
- Monitor stock levels and consumption of chemicals, packaging materials, and operational supplies
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Garment Manufacturing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial laundry
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior supervisory or assistant management role
- Proven experience handling luxury brands, couture garments, designer wear, bridal wear, and delicate fabrics
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of dry cleaning, wet cleaning, hand washing, stain removal, garment finishing, and pressing

Role Purpose
- The Assistant Laundry Manager is responsible for supporting the Laundry Manager in overseeing the day to day operations of the luxury garment care department.
- The role focuses on garment assessment, quality control, staff development, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess in depth knowledge of luxury garments, designer brands, couture wear, and high end textiles.
- Assess garment construction, fabric composition, embellishments, trims, and brand specific care requirements.
- Analyze garment value and determine appropriate laundry, dry cleaning, wet cleaning, stain removal, or hand washing processes.
- Conduct regular spot checks on garment assessment, processing, finishing, and quality control activities.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and luxury garment care standards.
- Lead complaint investigations and root cause analysis.
- Assist in managing daily workforce activities and departmental performance.
- Support capacity planning and production optimization.
- Monitor stock levels and consumption of chemicals, packaging materials, hangers, plastics, and operational supplies.
- Represent the Laundry Manager during absences and attend operational meetings.
- Participate in client visits and business development activities.
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO standards and quality systems.
Experience & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Garment Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Must have minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial laundry.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior supervisory or assistant management role.
- Proven experience handling luxury brands, couture garments, designer wear, bridal wear, and delicate fabrics.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, management, and external stakeholders.
